Talksign is an artificial intelligence research and product company. We're working toward a simple goal: no one should be left out of a conversation. That means making spoken communication accessible and inclusive for everyone, everywhere.
AI has advanced rapidly, but accessibility has not kept pace. Today, more than 430 million people worldwide live with disabling hearing loss. Communication tools remain fragmented, expensive, and out of reach, limiting participation in education, work, and society.
We are building Talksign to bridge that gap: to make AI for accessibility more intelligent, adaptable, human-centered, and help people communicate freely.
Technology for inclusion
We treat accessibility as both a scientific challenge and a moral imperative. Our research focuses on foundational systems that help machines understand language, tone, and expression—so technology gets closer to how people actually communicate.
Our work spans three core areas:
- 1. Sign Language AI: Models that render expressive, region-specific sign language from text and speech, preserving nuance.
- 2. Emotion and Context: Systems that interpret tone, facial cues, and intent, not just words.
- 3. Cross-modal integration: Interoperable apps and devices that deliver these capabilities across mobile, desktop, and wearables.
From research to real life
We design products that meet real needs in classrooms, hospitals, workplaces, and daily life.
1. Wearables: Real-time speech-to-text and sign display for everyday conversation.
2. Apps: Captions, sign translation, and assistive tools for organizations and individuals.
3. Learning platform: Interactive tools that teach sign language and accessibility awareness.
Together, these form a visual hearing ecosystem: a unified layer of accessibility that travels with you. We build it to be offline-capable, affordable, and openly extensible.
Built on strong foundations
Accessibility doesn't happen by accident. We anchor our work in three pillars:
1. Ethical, inclusive data: We co-create with Deaf communities, educators, and researchers to build representative datasets across languages and cultures. Every data point is community-sourced, transparent, and accountable.
2. Reliable infrastructure: We design for real-world conditions, including low connectivity. On-device AI keeps experiences private, secure, and available everywhere.
3. Safety and transparency: We practice responsible AI—red teaming, post-deployment audits, and open collaboration to reduce bias and prevent harm.
Learning by building
Progress happens where research meets deployment. Each product is an experiment in inclusion—a way to test ideas in the real world and learn from the people who use them.
1. Products reveal what the research still misses.
2. Research strengthens the next generation of products.
We'll share our progress openly—datasets, model architectures, and methods to help accelerate accessible AI for everyone.
